I remember trying to get out of DC on that day as I watched black smoke billowing out of a Pentagon which I could not see but which I knew to be under siege.  I arrived home to a new mom (my wife) crying as she watched events unfold on the tv news.

This was our generation&#039;s JFK assassination.  We will all remember where we were and what we were doing.     And I think the events that unfurled on that dark morning in September 2001 have had a more profound impact on this county that the events of November 1963.</description>
